Multihand Blackjack - How to Play

Multihand Blackjack is a classic blackjack game, but which lets you play with up to five hands at once. 

The aim is to beat the dealer by obtaining a hand closer in value to 21, without exceeding it.

Placing Bets

To place your bets, select a chip from the rack at the bottom and place it on the casino table.

Click ‘Undo’ to remove the last chip that you placed.

'Clear Bets' will remove all of the chips that you've placed on the table.

The below betting options are also available in this game: 

• Repeat and deal - repeats your bet from the previous game
• Let ‘em ride - wagers your winnings from the previous game. This option isn't available if you took out insurance on your previous game
• Double and Deal -  doubles your bet from the previous game

How to Play

To start your game, click ‘Deal’ after you have placed your bets.

You and the dealer will then be dealt your initial cards - you will receive two cards face-up.

Continue drawing cards until your hand totals 21, or is as close to 21 as possible without exceeding it:

• Hit - adds another card to your hand 
• Stand - ends the play on your current hand
• Split - if your first two cards are of the same value, you can split it into two separate hands (you must place a bet on the second hand that is equal to the amount wagered on your original bet).

Only matching face cards can be split in Multihand Blackjack.

If you split two Aces and the next card dealt has a value of 10, it won't count as blackjack - it will have a value of 21, but will lose to the dealer if they draw blackjack.

• Double Down - allows you to double your original bet. If you Double Down, you'll only be able to receive one more card thereafter, and only if your initial two cards equal nine, 10 or 11. 

Game Rules

Blackjack is the top prize available and is awarded when your initial two-card hand features an Ace and a 10 or picture card.

If your hand exceeds 21, it goes 'bust' and loses regardless of the dealer’s hand.

The dealer must draw on 16 and will always stand on 17. 

If the dealer’s hand is worth the same as yours, the round ends in a ‘push’ and your bet bet will be returned.

Insurance 

If the dealer’s first card is an Ace, you can purchase insurance in attempt to safeguard your hand.

Insurance bets cost half the amount of your original wager.

If the dealer draws blackjack, Insurance bets pay out at 2:1 and your original wager will be lost.

If the dealer doesn't draw blackjack, you'll lose your insurance bet and the hand will continue as normal.

Card Values 

In this game, card values are as follows:

• Cards two to nine - face value
• 10, Jack, Queen, King - all worth 10
• Ace - one or 11, whichever benefits your hand the best

 

Payouts

The available payouts in Multihand Blackjack are as below:

• Winning Hand - 1:1
• Blackjack - 3:2
• Insurance - 2:1

 

Return To Player (RTP)

Return To Player: 99.42%.

The expected return is the amount we pay out to players relative to the amount of wagering on the game.

For example, if we take $100 of wagers we will, on average, pay out $99.42 of wins.

This return is based on the player making the best choices.
