High Stakes Blackjack - How to Play

The aim of all blackjack games is to obtain the hand closer to 21 than the dealer’s, without going over 21. 

High Stakes Blackjack has a unique feature, which gives you the option to surrender - this allows you to walk away from your hand once it has been dealt if you don’t think it will win.

Choosing to Surrender option will cost you half of your original wager.

How to Bet

Start the game by placing your bet - do this by selecting a chip from the bottom of the screen and placing it on the table.

To win, the value of your hand needs to be closer to 21 than the dealer's. 

Blackjack is the best hand you can hold and will beat any other hand - it consists of an Ace with a 10 or a picture card.

If you want to remove your bet, click 'Clear Bets' before the cards are dealt.

Otherwise click 'Deal' to start your game of High Stakes Blackjack.

Betting Options

There are three betting options in this game:

• Repeat and Deal - this repeats your bet from the previous game.
• Let 'em Ride - this places a bet containing all of your winnings from the previous hand.
• Double and Bet - this will double the size of your previous bet

Card Values

• Ace = one or 11, whichever value is of most benefit to your hand
• Cards two to 10 = face value
• Face cards (Jacks, Queens and Kings) - worth 10 each 

Game Features

The below features are available in this game:

Splitting

If your initial two cards are of the same value, you can split your hand into two separate hands (you must place a second wager on the second hand equal to your original wager). 

Doubling Down

This feature lets you double your bet after your first two cards have been dealt - if you win, you'll be paid out at twice your total wager. 

You can double down on any two cards in this game, and also if you've split your original hand - this is unique to High Stakes Blackjack.

If you Double Down you can only receive one more card, and only if your hand totals nine, 10 or 11.

If the dealer reveals blackjack after you've doubled down, you'll lose your entire wager.

Insurance

You can only purchase an Insurance bet when the dealer's first card is an Ace - it will cost half your wager.

Insurance helps to safeguard your hand in case the dealer has blackjack.

If the dealer does not reveal blackjack, you'll lose your Insurance bet and the hand will resume.

Surrender

Surrender is a unique feature to High Stakes Blackjack.

It allows you to walk away from your hand even after it's been dealt.

Opting to Surrender means you'll lose half of your original wager.

Return to Player (RTP)

Return to Player: 99.64%.

The expected return is the amount we pay out to players relative to the amount of wagering on the game.

For example, if we take $100 of wagers we will, on average, pay out $99.64 of wins.

This return is based on the player making the best choices.
