Baccarat: Professional Series - How to Play

The aim of Baccarat: Professional Series is to accurately guess the outcome of a game between the player and the banker.

The hand closest to nine wins!

    How to Play

Eight standard 52-card decks are used during this game, minus the Jokers.

Place a bet on whether you think the player or the banker will win, or bet on a tie between the two.

The player and the banker are each dealt two cards.

Whoever has the hand closest to a sum of nine wins.

If both hands are equal in value then a tie is declared.

In the event of Third Card Rules applying, a third card can be dealt to a hand.

    Third Card Rules

If either the player or the banker has a hand that equals eight or nine, it is marked as 'natural', and both hands stand.

For a third hand to be dealt, the following circumstances must be justified:

    • Player has a hand equaling zero to five - player receives a third card
    • Banker has a hand equaling zero to five - banker receives a third card if the player stands
    • Banker has a hand of zero, one, two - banker receives a third card
    • Banker has a hand of three - banker receives a third card if the player's third card is not eight
    • Banker has a hand of four - banker receives a third card if the player's third card is between two and seven
    • Banker has a hand of five - banker receives a third card if the player's third card is between four and seven
    • Banker has a hand of six - banker receives a third card if the player's card is six or seven
    • Banker has a hand of seven - banker always stands

    Card Values

    • 10, Jack, Queen, King - zero
    • 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 - face value
    • Ace - one

    Payouts

    • Player wins - 2:1
    • Banker wins - 2:1 (minus 5% commission)
    • Tie wins - 9:1

    Return to Player

Player Wins Return To Player (RTP): 98.94%

Banker Wins Return To Player (RTP) : 98.76%

Tie Wins Return To Player (RTP): 85.64%

The expected return is the amount we pay out to players relative to the amount of wagering on the game.

For example, if we take $100 of wagers we will, on average, pay out $98.94 of wins.

This return is based on the player making the best choices.
